Job summary
Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will assist with patient preparation, triage, history taking, lab specimen collection, and medication administration in a fast-paced clinic.
Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program completion or CMA/RMA certification, plus 2 years in urgent care or ER settings, and EMR experience (EPIC preferred). The role supports growth and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution (diploma or certificate) or CMA/RMA certification.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in urgent care, ER, or hospital.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and general clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Perform triage and record vital signs.
- Document detailed patient history in EMR.
- Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
- Administer medications and injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
- Support clinical and laboratory procedures.
