Hyndman Area Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), seeks a Full-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to healthcare providers in a busy medical facility in Johnstown, PA.

The Medical Assistant will help maintain efficient patient flow, assist with exams, take vital signs, update charts, and support a range of clinical operations to ensure timely patient care. Vaccines and labs are included in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a health care setting preferred.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Triage seriously ill patients and notify staff as needed.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients into exam rooms.
• Obtain accurate vital signs.
• Obtain medical history for patient charts.
• Update flow charts and medication records per visit.
• Assist providers with procedures as trained.
• Restock exam rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Disinfect exam rooms after each patient visit.
• Document follow-through in progress notes.
• Draw labs and administer vaccines.
