TexomaCare, affiliated with Universal Health Services, seeks a Medical Assistant to support examinations, take vital signs, venipuncture, and document in EMR under physician supervision.

You will prepare exam rooms, assist with front desk coverage, and ensure smooth patient flow in Denison, TX. Certification in BLS/CPR and MA credential are required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• End-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation exposure.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

TheMedical Assistantis responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, which include assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture, and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.
