Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required within 6 months of hire or credentialed via formal training program.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and/or procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization; stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient portal messages on the same day per procedures.
• Complete pre-visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and manage prescriptions as appropriate.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing and make follow-up calls after surgery.
• Greet, check-in/out patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient records and payments.
• Maintain Core Physicians policies, confidentiality, and safety standards; participate in daily huddles.
• In some practices, perform scribing duties and document encounters for providers.
• Monitor care team metrics and provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre‑visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and/or procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization as required; clean and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient phone portal messages on the same day following standard work procedures and messaging policy.
• Use standing protocols to complete pre‑visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and complete prescription refills.
• Schedule pre‑admission and diagnostic testing and place follow‑up calls to patients after surgery.
• Perform daily administrative duties: greeting/check‑in/check‑out, scheduling patients, answering telephones, taking messages, organizing patient charts, filing, pulling and copying patient records, collecting co‑pays and patient balances, posting payments, adjusting transactions, and balancing daily journal.
• Maintain and adhere to Core Physicians policies and procedures and federal regulations, including patient confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participate in daily huddle and complete any required actions, working as a member of the care team to ensure proper communication.
• In some practices, perform scribing duties; accompany the provider into the patient exam room and accurately document the encounter, order labs, make referrals, and order prescriptions recommended by the provider.
• Monitor care team metrics to evaluate improvement metrics and outcomes.
• Provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• For hires after 11/28/2011: CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required or within 6 months of hire, or credentialed through a formal training program that includes testing of knowledge.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
