Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, 37.5-hour Medical Assistant to join our Express Care team!

Express Care, formally known as Urgent Care, offers timely treatment for non-emergency conditions. We care for adults and children ages 3 and up, addressing a wide range of issues such as respiratory illnesses, infections, minor injuries, rashes, and stomach problems. Because patients often visit when they’re feeling unwell, our team prioritizes compassion and emotional support alongside quality medical care.

The schedule consists of working 3, 12.5-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Since Express Care is a 7‑day‑per‑week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 2 on‑call shifts per 4‑week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.

The primary location for this role is 1285 Beacon Street Brookline.

We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on‑call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Brookline, Newton, Lynn, Natick, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross‑coverage purposes).

There is free parking at each of our locations!

Summary

The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non‑clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
