Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking an LPN, Medical Assistant, or EMT to join the General Surgery team and contribute to the care and experience of patients and families. The Medical Assistant will support providers, prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

The position offers a daytime schedule (8:30–5) with primary work in St. Louis Park and occasional float to Maple Grove, requiring BLS and appropriate MA or EMT credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Current BLS certification for health professionals required and maintained.
• For EMT: Graduate of an accredited EMT program and MN EMT license; BLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers by preparing patients for examinations and taking vital signs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring safety and privacy.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant supports our providers by performing a variety of clinical duties to ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, privacy and clinical protocols. The Medical Assistant serves as a key liaison between patients and the healthcare team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced medical environment.

Work Schedule:

• Daily hours are 8:30-5


• Primarily in St. Louis Park, potential to float to Maple Grove occasionally

Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with an MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below

Medical Assistant (MA):

Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by \"The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):

Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
