Qualifications

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
  • AMT registered and AAMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
  • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
  • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved procedures.
  • Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing or in-house processing.
  • Perform laboratory tests, quality controls, and equipment maintenance per instructions.
  • Respond to lab messages and callback requests.
  • Perform drug screening procedures in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Ensure patient immunizations are documented and administered per procedure.
  • Coordinate physician referrals and service pre-certifications as needed.
  • Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary

Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
