As a Medical Assistant Educator, you'll play a key role in developing and mentoring Medical Assistants, guiding, inspiring, and helping them build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional care.

In this dynamic role, you'll design and lead impactful training programs, support clinical growth and ongoing development, and help foster a collaborative, curious, and continuous learning environment.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities
  • Perform patient intakes, including vital signs, vision/hearing screenings, documentation, and lab-related tasks.
  • Administer vaccines and single-dose medications.
  • Communicate with patients and families via phone calls and patient portal messages.
  • Support providers with procedures and anticipate their clinical needs.
  • Promote an atmosphere of patient care and customer service excellence while respecting patient rights, confidentiality, diversity, and developmental needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or delegated.
Inspire Learning & Build Confidence
  • Lead engaging onboarding experiences for new Medical Assistants and other clinical staff.
  • Provide ongoing education, retraining, and skill development for current staff.
  • Adapt training approaches to meet diverse learning styles.
  • Teach Basic Life Support (BLS) to staff.
  • Partner with Medical Assistants and other clinical roles to support their growth and success.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering confidence and clinical excellence.
  • Help guide new team members through a successful transition into their roles.
Collaborate & Make an Impact
  • Partner with the Staff Development Team to coordinate and enhance training programs.
  • Work closely with clinic leaders, providers, and staff to meet evolving training needs.
  • Maintain strong communication across teams through email, Teams, and meetings.
  • Partner with Medical Assistant schools to mentor, support, and inspire the next generation of Medical Assistant professionals, helping shape their skills, confidence, and career pathways.
  • Lead and present training sessions across all clinics.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials and resources.
  • Ensure all training reflects current policies, workflows, and system updates.
  • Provide EHR training and ongoing support for staff and providers.
Lead with Purpose
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental learning environment.
  • Promote teamwork and alignment with Allegro's mission and values.
  • Travel to clinic locations to provide hands-on training and support.
Requirements
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • High school diploma/GED or higher.
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinics.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric experience.
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience.

  • COVID immunization required at time of hire, or as newly released.
  • Flu immunization required at time of hire, or as newly released.
  • Various other immunization requirements, which can be discussed during your interview.
  • All employees are currently required to wear a surgical, KN95, or N95 mask at all times while in the clinic and patient-facing.
Work Environment / Physical Demands

The following is required to perform the essential functions of this role.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office/clinic setting and may be required to:

  • Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods.
  • Lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.

Full-time employees working 24+ hours weekly are eligible for:
