Job summary

Providence is seeking a Medical Assistant II to work under a licensed practitioner, delivering patient care and supporting clinical operations at our Anchorage location. The role requires clinical competence, adherence to policies, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Ideal candidates will have completion of accredited MA training or apprenticeship, plus a minimum of one year MA experience and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months Healthcare experience.
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

  • Assist licensed practitioners in providing patient care under delegation.
  • Follow established policies, procedures and regulations while performing MA II duties.
  • Demonstrate competence in clinical skills required for assigned clinic/location.

Description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
  • Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
  • Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or

Pay Range: $23.27 - $35.60
