Job summary

ProMedica Health and Wellness Center in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Gastroenterology clinic. In this role you will collect patient data, document visit reasons, obtain vitals, and support providers with a safe, patient-centered experience from check-in to discharge.

You will communicate with patients, peers and the health care team, assist with phone calls and message relay, and contribute to clinical excellence within a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS (CPR); must present a current BLS card from the AHA at time of employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Previous experience in medical office.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.

Job Summary

A ProMedica Medical Assistant is a key member of our patient centric care delivery model. In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes to improve patient care. This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence. Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. You will show your clinical knowledge outside patient rooms as well when answering patient phone calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses. Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
