Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. The role builds on MA I duties with competency across clinical tasks at the Issaquah/Seattle site.

You will follow established policies and contribute to the care team’s efficiency and quality. Required qualifications include completion of accredited MA training, apprenticeship or military medical training, plus relevant clinical skills and certification timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including vital signs, injections and medication administration.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

Pay Range: $26.47 - $40.49
