Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking Medical Assistants to support patient care and administrative tasks in a collaborative office setting. The MA functions under the physician’s license when performing clinical duties and contributes to a smooth patient flow throughout the practice.

Eligible candidates with 0-1 years of experience may obtain a $4,000 sign-on bonus; those with 1+ years may receive $5,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with MA cert options or 160 hours of clinical experience.
• BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of start date.
• Relevant medical assisting education or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and administrative tasks in a team-based office setting.
• Operate under physician/advanced practice practitioner license when performing clinical duties.
• Support patient flow and office efficiency through clinical and front-office tasks.
