Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months direct clinical patient care experience or current Medical Assistant certification.
• Candidates with one year of medical work experience must obtain MA certification within one year of hire.
• Recent grads will obtain clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms with instruments and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen for referrals.
