Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers in Union, KY. The role includes patient instruction, compliance with OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA, and ensuring completion of duties essential to operations.

The Medical Assistant will escort patients, document vital signs, assist during examinations, collect specimens, and manage patient charts with accuracy. Strong organization and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is expected.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs.
• Assist the provider during examinations.
• Prepare the patient for the exam and provide instructions.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure correct documentation.
