Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (36 hours per week, full-time) for the TUH Northeastern Campus in Philadelphia. The role supports physicians and clinical staff, handling patient reception, chart preparation and basic administrative tasks in a busy practice.

The ideal candidate will have a medical assistant program background and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with preference for additional certifications or registry credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a medical assistant program (non-degree program).
• 1 year experience providing medical assistance in a physician office, nursing facility or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, complete demographic and billing information, prepare charts and reviews of fee slips.
• Maintain office filing, update electronic medical records and assist with patient procedures.
• Support reception duties and administrative/clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Collect payments in accordance with cash handling policies and procedures.
