Unity Health Care in Washington, DC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time role. Under supervision, you will support patient care in a community health setting, document histories and vital signs, and assist providers during exams and procedures.

You will manage EHRs, coordinate referrals, and ensure patient follow-up and discharge processes. The position requires CMA or RMA certification, high school diploma or GED, and BLS + AED CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a diploma.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Current BLS + AED CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Maintain patient confidentiality and manage EHRs.
• Prepare patients and EHRs for provider visits.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Accurately record vital signs, height, weight, and histories for adults and children.
• Perform routine lab and intake procedures (urine dipsticks, phlebotomy, injections, immunizations, EKGs).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical areas.
• Restock supplies and materials as needed.
• Coordinate referrals and schedule patient appointments.
• Follow up to ensure patient attendance and discharge planning.
