United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and assist with exams, tests, and procedures.

You will also schedule referrals, educate patients on follow-up care, and perform related administrative duties. A HS diploma and a Medical Assistant program or 1 year clinical experience are required; BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; prepares for physician visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
• Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
• Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
• Assists with office administrative tasks including phones, messages, data entry, and cash deposits.
