Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients, staff, and physicians in a fast-paced clinic in San Diego. The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program and BLS certification; CMA and Navy HM background are a plus.

Shift is 8 AM to 5 PM, with 8/40 hours and occasional weekend duties as needed. On-call is not required, and pay ranges from $28.73 to $38.61 an hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) is REQUIRED.
• Preferred CMA certification and Navy HM background are assets.

Responsibilities

• Completes clinical competencies with 90%+ in all sections.
• Administers medications with verification and documentation.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists with procedures.
• Manages department tasks including scheduling, message handling, and patient flow.
• Supports staff and physicians to maintain quality care and service.
