Job summary

NeueHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform administrative and clinical duties under a physician's direction at our Hallandale Beach, FL location. Responsibilities include vital signs, histories, preparing for tests, and assisting physicians during examinations.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant certification or related diploma, and at least one year of clinic experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to support diverse patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or diploma from an accredited school is highly preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, physician practice or urgent care setting.

• Preparing Patients for Medical Tests and Examinations
• Assisting Physicians During Examinations
• Explaining Medical Procedures to Patients
• Sterilizing Medical Instruments
• Removing Sutures
• Entering prescriptions into pharmacies
• Preparing Patients for X-Rays
• Administering medications (topical, oral, IM)
• Transcribing notes and documents related to treatments
• Travel to clinics within the region as needed for business operation or staffing coverage requirements.
