Job summary

Saint Luke's Limited is seeking a Medical Assistant to float between South and North locations in Kansas City, MO. You will support providers and the nursing team with pre-visit planning, rooming patients, and vitals collection, while documenting in the EMR and performing clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, medication administration, phone screening, and assisting with procedures. A diploma and BLS certification are required; less than 1 year experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience in medical assisting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Diploma in a related field or nursing assistance program.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-visit planning and room patients for visits.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Document in the EMR and perform clerical duties as needed.
• Administer medications and perform phlebotomy when competent.
• Screen patients by phone following protocols.
• Assist with clinical procedures and other clinic needs.
