Job description

Job Description
  • Identify the best method for blood collection based on patient needs and medical orders.
  • Explain the blood drawing process to patients and prepare them for the procedure.
  • Use sterile techniques to prepare the collection site and draw blood from the patient.
  • Maintain accurate records of blood draws and patient information.
  • Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in our electronic health records system.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments.
  • Collect and process labs.
  • Perform Covid testing.
What to Expect
  • Provide support to Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine medical procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, charting, and inventory management.
  • Download lab results and email them to patients.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant / Certified Phlebotomy Technician program required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical assistant role, with experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation

$24 per hour + benefits. Pay and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
