Job summary

Academic Medical Group Inc in Tampa seeks a Medical Assistant Certified for Pediatric care to support clinical and clerical duties. You will room patients, assist with procedures, prepare charts, and handle referrals, images and labs prior to visits.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, CMA/RMA MA-ARMA certification, and BLS, with at least 3 months in healthcare. On-site at 17 Davis Medical Building, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED - Required.
• Certified: Clinical Medical Assistant Or Registered Medical Assistant Or MA-ARMA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures.
• Skill in drawing blood for laboratory testing and proper specimen handling.
• Proficient with electronic health record systems for documentation.
• Ability to assist with procedures and perform clerical tasks (phones, greeting patients, filing).
• Experience maintaining medical equipment and patient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming and assisting with procedures.

Medical Assistant Certified - Licensed Practical Nurse - USFTGP Pediatrics (260002LR)

Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits.
