Job summary

Freeman Health System, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Freeman Medical Plaza at Sugar Creek in Wisconsin. Under physician supervision, you will assist with examinations, take vital signs, collect health histories, and document in the EMR.

This full-time, first-shift role requires certification, a high school diploma, and clinic experience; the team emphasizes patient flow, accuracy, and compassionate care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider and/or nursing staff in providing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
• Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensures cleanliness.
• Greets patients and prepares them for examination by taking weight, temperature and blood pressure.
• Helps patient with follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Efficiently uses the clinic's data management system to maintain accurate patient records.
• Screens patients for information to enter into the records and ensures chart accuracy.
• Communicates pertinent data concerning the client’s status with health team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

No weekends/no holidays.**What You’ll Do**Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Conducts intake on patients , vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and completes patient health history in the electronic medical record. Displays good decision making skills and has knowledge of anatomy and proficient in medical terminology. Must be able to multi task. May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, might be exposed to bodily fluids during patient care.
