Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a Medical Assistant–Certified (MA-C) for our Lopez Island clinic. The MA-C will support providers, take histories and vitals, help with exams, immunizations, and referrals whilemaintaining efficient patient flow.

The role requires MA training, MA-C certification (or interim with certification within 90 days), BLS/CPR, and bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. This is a full-time, on-site outpatient position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved medical assisting program.
• Current MA-C license or interim status with certification within 90 days.
• BLS/CPR certification required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
