General Overview

Under the provider's direction, assists in coordinating patient care, preparing patients, performing tests, assisting with procedures, and documenting in the EHR. May serve as a scribe and provide follow-up with patients. May float between locations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care coordination and preparation
• Obtain vital signs, document patient info, assist with screenings and updates in EHR
• Perform back office testing and assist providers with procedures
• Follow up with patients and notify test results
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, sterilize instruments
• Administer medications and document accurately
• Perform clerical duties and other assigned tasks

Qualifications

Minimum: High School/GED, completion of Medical Assistant program or relevant experience, CPR certification, background clearances. Certification required within 30-120 days if not already certified. Preferred: Associate's Degree.
