Community Health Systems is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Alabama Cardiovascular Group in Alabama. The role supports patient care through clinical and administrative tasks under supervision, assisting with procedures, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring efficient clinic operations with excellent patient service.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or externship, 0–1 years in a medical setting, and basic computer and EHR skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and medical record systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional service to patients and staff.
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with non-invasive procedures and taking vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures.
• Handle patient intake duties, including reporting test results and triage.
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance eligibility, and communications.
• Maintain organized workload and provide punctual, courteous service.
• Monitor and requisition supplies to ensure inventory levels.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
