Job summary

Providence PacMed is seeking an MA II to work under a licensed practitioner, performing duties as directed to support patient care at Swedish First Hill in Seattle. This role builds on MA I responsibilities and requires adherence to procedures and policies.

The position offers part-time hours with a base pay range shown and opportunities for shift differentials and benefits as part of Providence's comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Graduate of MA apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces.
• At least one year of MA experience with vital signs, injections and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months of healthcare experience.
• 6 months MA experience.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or,
• Coursework/Training - Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or,
• Coursework/Training - Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or,
• Coursework/Training - Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months - Healthcare experience.
• 6 months - Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.79 - $37.03
