Job summary

Providence is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care under a licensed practitioner. The role requires hands-on clinical training and completion of a medical assistant program or apprenticeship, with at least one year of MA experience including vital signs and injections. WA MA certification and BLS within 30 days are required.

The MA II will perform duties according to policy and procedure and contribute to a team focused on delivering compassionate care in our clinics.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 6 months- Healthcare experience
  • 6 months- Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

Job description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistantsor,
