Job summary

ENTA in the Bronx is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to welcome patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist providers during visits. You will document medical histories, perform basic in-office lab testing, and help maintain supplies while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Bilingual Spanish is required; Epic EMR experience is preferred. Schedule includes Mon-Fri with some Saturdays; compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Strong patient service skills and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone and route inquiries appropriately.
• Prepare patients for appointments and escort to exam rooms.
• Verify and record patient information including medical history.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare lab specimens and perform basic in-office testing.
• Maintain sterile instruments and proper disposal of supplies.
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions.
• Document examinations, treatments, and test results.
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Bronx office.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Bilingual Spanish required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements:

Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
• Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule

• Monday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am-6:30pm
• Thursday: 9:00am=5:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am-4:30pm
• Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM
