Job summary

BEST CARE FAMILY AND WELLNESS CENTE is seeking a Medical Assistant with experience in back/clinical and front desk/reception to join our team.

You will prepare for patient visits by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification and CMA desired.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant with experience in back/clinical and front desk/reception to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. Cross-training to cover as receptionist as needed includes skills such as insurance verification, referrals/authorizations, appointment confirmation, and processing of incoming messages via fax, email, or phone. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and offers the versatility of previous medical office experience, both clinical and administrative.
