Nova Medical Centers in Austin, Texas, is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide vital medical office support. You will work closely with the Medical Provider to assist in patient care, perform administrative and medical tasks, and ensure a safe and clean environment.

The ideal candidate should have a High School Degree and preferably be enrolled in a related program. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to create a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Degree.
• Preferred enrollment in a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, Nursing or related program.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.

Overview

Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with the Medical Provider to provide supportive patient care and perform tasks as delegated, including assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• You will be trained to perform many medical support tasks, such as drug screen collections, diagnostic testing, preparing specimens, injections, and blood draws.
• You will be trained to perform administrative support tasks such as answering phones, checking in and outpatients, filing, and record processing.

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• Preferred enrollment in a MA, CNA, EMT, Nursing or related program
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills in both verbal and written form.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, time management, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work positively among diverse groups of individuals promoting a “TEAM” environment and “Leads by Example.”

Preferred

• Bilingual in Spanish / English
