Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state offers a State-approved Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program. This 12-month, paid apprenticeship combines 2,000 hours of clinical training with coursework to prepare you to sit for the CCMA exam.

Apprentices work with care teams in a patient-centered medical home, gaining hands-on skills and exposure to immunizations, quality measures, and coordinated care in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures.
• Track clinical quality measures and support care coordination.
• Administer immunizations within scope.

Our State-approved Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program offers a meaningful pathway into healthcare for individuals who are passionate about serving others and building a long-term career in community health.

This 12-month program combines 2,000 hours of paid clinical training with structured coursework to prepare apprentices to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. Apprentices work alongside experienced care teams in a patient-centered medical home model, helping ensure every patient receives respectful, high-quality care.
