US Heart & Vascular is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS. The role covers greeting patients, performing venipuncture (if trained), aiding in TeleMed scheduling, and supporting physicians during procedures. The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, with Medical Assistant certification preferred.

At least 1 year of medical office experience is required; phlebotomy experience is a plus. BLS within 1 month of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and direct outpatients, visitors, and families to waiting areas and exam rooms.
• Perform venipuncture (if trained) and finger sticks on lab patients.
• Assist with TeleMed or Doxyme scheduling and patient instruction.
• Support physician and staff during procedures with vital signs and positioning.
• Review medications with patients and document in the computer.
• Communicate physician delays to patients and monitor them until arrival.
• Perform EKGs as ordered by physician.
• Obtain and document patient information per protocol.
• Coordinate physician schedules and communications regarding visits.
• Keep clinic staff informed of pertinent patient information.
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms after each patient and at day end.
• Make referrals with documentation and provider guidance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Heartland - Webb Main - Wichita, KS 67226, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Job Category: Other Positions, US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team at Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct outpatients, visitors, and families in a pleasant and caring manner to waiting areas, exam rooms and ancillary departments.
• Perform venipuncture (if trained) and finger sticks on lab patients for processing.
• Assist with scheduling of TeleMed or Doxyme appointments and provide patient instruction.
• Assist Clinic physician and/or physician’s staff with any procedures (i.e., vital signs, weight, positioning, disrobing, etc.).
• Review current medications with patients and document in computer.
• Communicate any physician delays to patient and monitor patient until physician enters exam room.
• Perform EKG on patients as ordered by physician.
• Obtain and document patient information as per clinic physician’s protocol.
• Know incoming physician schedules to organize appointments and issue appropriate memos regarding incoming physician visits.
• Keep clinic staff informed of pertinent information regarding patients.
• Clean the exam room after each patient and sanitize exam room at the end of each day.
• Make referrals for providers as requested, with help and guidance from the provider’s nurse. Provide proper documentation of referrals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
