is hiring a Full-Time Tech Aid for The East Brunswick office.

SCHEDULE

Monday and Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM, weekends as needed. Shift flexibility preferred.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Skilled and organized Medical Assistant that assists our healthcare team. Assist with performing a combination of various administrative and clinical tasks. Administrative responsibilities include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails as needed, scheduling appointments as needed, and updating and filing patients’ medical records on EMR and/or on site as pertinent to patients’ needs. Clinical duties include taking patient medical histories, recording patient vital signs as needed, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during examinations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Helps patients by providing information, services, andassistance.
  • Maintains medical supplies inventory as needed.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient , recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary evaluations.
  • Secures patient information andmaintainspatient confidence by completing andsafeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and answers any pertinent questions.
  • Maintains safe , secure, and healthy work environment byestablishingand following standards and procedures andcomplying withlegal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies readily available for the Technologist and other medical staff.
  • Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership foraccomplishingnew and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Assistsas needed with vascular access as directed (if certified to do so )
  • Perform any other related duties asrequiredor assigned.
  • Handling patient priors as needed.
  • Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
  • Maintain clean and stocked work area .
  • Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training.

  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

ABILITY TO COMMUTE/RELOCATE
  • East Brunswick, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
