Job summary

AQ Surgery: Head and Neck and Microvascular Surgery Institute is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support clinicians and ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate exhibits excellent communication, empathy, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include taking medical histories, vital signs, exam support, room preparation, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records. Prior MA experience and CPR preferred; CMA/RMA/CCMA certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, Professional Attitude, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record patient history and personal information
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures
• Set up room for procedures.
• Manage patient appointments and follow-up schedules
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, make sure all information is updated before patient is seen.
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace
• Provide patient education and support as needed
• Handle administrative tasks including answering phones and managing patient inquiries

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program CMA, RMA, or CCMA
• Certificaton Stronly preferred
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical proceduresProficient in using electronic health records systems. ECW Experience
