The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's UVA Health system is seeking a Medical Assistant - Medical Group to join its care team in Warrenton, VA. This non-exempt role supports clinical and administrative tasks under a licensed practitioner, providing respectful, age-appropriate patient care.

The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and provide general support under direct supervision of a licensed practitioner or designee in accordance with UVA Health policies and procedures and competency. The position requires providing service to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic setting preferred.
Licensure: Current certified medical assistant credentials (CMA, CCMA, RMA) or completion of an approved medical assistant program required. Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire through a recognized national professional association.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required. Ability to successfully complete general and department role based specific skills validation and competency testing.

Medium to heavy physical demand: constant standing, frequent walking, bending/stooping. Requires communication and sensory skills. Must lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs., use safe handling equipment for weights over 35 lbs.
Base hourly rate: $17.68 – $27.28. Compensation will be determined by qualifications and experience. Pay range does not include incentive programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives.
