Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, CMA or RMA certification, BLS/BCLS, and at least one year of medical office experience or new graduate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater; if greater, complete within 3 years.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification per AHA guidelines; online acceptable with documentation.
• One year medical office experience preferred; training available for new graduates.

Medical Assistant

Salary Range: $22.00 To $22.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MA, under the supervision of the Clinic Operations Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of duties while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver optimal patient care services and manage care within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The MA maintains an enhanced role within this model of care that promotes concepts of proactive team-based care, population management and principles of PCMH to develop a highly functional primary care workforce to provide higher quality care to a larger population.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required

• One year medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly‑motivated new graduate
