Job summary

Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management in St. Cloud, FL is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our growing team.

This role offers the opportunity to support physicians and clinicians in delivering compassionate care to patients managing chronic pain. You will room patients, document vital signs, assist with procedures, manage scheduling and referrals, and ensure HIPAA-compliant, high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA preferred.
• Experience in medical office or pain management a plus.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and patient records.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff with examinations and interventional pain management procedures.
• Room patients, record vital signs, and document medical histories in the EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies and sanitation.
• Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and other clinical duties.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, referrals and prior authorizations.
• Communicate treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and clinical best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and interventional pain management procedures
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR system
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and stocking of supplies
• Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and perform other clinical duties as directed
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals and prior authorizations
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical best practices

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
• Prior experience in a medical office, pain management, or specialty clinic setting is a plus
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
• Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
