Job summary

US Foot and Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, patients, and the office operations in a fast-paced clinic. The role covers rooming, vitals, EMR documentation, minor procedures, radiography support, and patient education.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of clinical experience, CMA/RMA preferred, and familiarity with podiatry/orthopedics. Travel between local offices may be required; MS 365 proficiency is expected. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures.

Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures


• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR


• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting)


• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education


• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed


• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service


• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies


• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required


• 2+ years of clinical experience


• CMA or RMA certification preferred
