Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Brownwood area. You will perform phlebotomy, lab testing, quality control, and routine instrument maintenance in a busy clinic setting.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of MA experience, a Florida driver’s license, and BLS certification. This role requires the ability to travel between clinics and participate in background checks and vaccinations as part of employment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office.
• Valid Florida driver's license needed for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required and must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS required by hire or obtained within 30 days of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist physicians with medical procedures in office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred. - Valid Florida driver's license is needed for travel to the clinics. - High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire. BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
