Job summary

Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane, WA is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff, perform clerical tasks, and prepare daily patient charts in the EMR with complete patient histories.

The role requires a Washington High School Diploma or GED; accredited MA program; CPR certification; DOH MA credentials or eligibility; and preferred phlebotomy experience plus 3–5 years MA experience in a clinical setting. Salary range $21.80–$31.61/hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Washington: HS diploma or GED; accredited MA program; CPR certification.
• DOH MA certification or DOH MA Registered credentials or Nursing Assistant Certified.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• 3–5 years MA experience in hospital or clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care duties.
• Perform clerical duties, including calling patients per physician's order.
• Set up daily patient charts in the EMR with history of present illness, past medical/surgical history, allergies and medications.

Cancer Care Northwest is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant who is responsibilities for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care duties. This position is also responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties requiring experience and knowledge of office functions. Performs clinic support tasks, including miscellaneous clerical tasks, making calls to patients per physician's order and setting up daily patient charts in the EMR including history of present illness, past medical/surgical history, past family/social history, allergies and medications.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

• Washington: High School Diploma or General Education Degree. Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. Current DOH MA Certified or able to obtain DOH MA Registered credentials or Current DOH Nursing Assistant Certified in a hospital or clinic setting. CPR certification.

It is preferred an individual have:

• Previous phlebotomy experience
• 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting
