Job summary

Community Health Centers of Burlington seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join the Champlain Islands Location in South Hero, VT. The role supports patient care and flow, documents thoroughly, and collaborates with the clinical team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with vocational MA training or willingness to be trained; strong medical terminology knowledge, BLS, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate with vocational training or ability to be trained as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience: Prior Medical Assistant experience highly preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology and standardized testing procedures; BLS certification; strong organizational skills.

Salary Range: $21.51 To $27.56 Hourly

Community Health Centers of Burlington is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join the team at the Champlain Islands Location! Medical Assistants are responsible for facilitating patient care and flow, thorough and accurate documentation, and performing as a contributing member of the clinical team.

Basic Qualifications

Education:

• High School Graduate with vocational training or ability to be trained as a Medical Assistant
• Prior Medical Assistant experience highly preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to acquire knowledge of medical terminology and standardized testing procedures
• BLS Certified
• Must possess or be willing to acquire clinical and organizational skills
• Must work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to seek out appropriate resources to problem solve effectively
• Experience working with a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic groups
