Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide nursing assistance and patient care in a primary care setting, supporting physicians and the care team to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role is on-site with hours 7:30am–4:30pm, no weekend or on-call requirements, and requires at least one year of healthcare experience plus American Heart Association BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
