Brown University in Rhode Island seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support Health Services for a diverse student population. Responsibilities include patient intake, preparing patients, assisting providers, performing waived tests, scheduling internal and external appointments, and handling office tasks such as release of information, faxing, scanning, copying and filing.
This is a per diem role with weekend/evening availability.
The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the health care team at Health Services that serves the diverse student population at Brown. The MA is responsible for the intake and preparation of patients, assisting medical providers, performing waived tests, stocking, cleaning (per infection control protocols), scheduling appointments (internal/external), and performing office duties including release of information, faxing, scanning, copying, filing, referrals and referral tracking. This is a part time, per diem position providing medical assistant coverage as needed. Availability to work weekends and evenings is required.
