Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability.

Every day you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills.

Job Requirements
  • High School Graduate General Studies or GED General Studies
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by CHWMF H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
  • Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant preferred
