CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant who will be the first contact for patient care, blending administrative responsibilities with clinical tasks in a fully onsite setting.

You will support physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and vaccine administration as permitted, and document thoroughly in the EMR. TB screening is required as part of Humana’s program.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification.
• TB screening required as part of Humana program.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver direct patient care within policy and quality guidelines.
• Identify priorities within defined parameters and manage timing.

As a Medical Assistant, reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi-routine assignments.

As a Medical Assistant, You Will

• Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines. Additional responsibilities involve performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
• Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but have latitude over prioritization/timing.
• Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.

Required Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
