Job summary

PRIME Occupational Medicine seeks a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to support on-site events and PRIME Clinics. You will perform clinical tests, manage patient intake, phlebotomy, injections, and maintain confidential medical records while ensuring compliance with privacy laws.

The role requires 2+ years as a Medical Assistant, high school diploma, and the ability to pass a DISA drug screen. On-site work, occasional overtime, and travel to surrounding PRIME locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent

• 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required

Responsibilities

• Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and clinics.
• Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments.
• Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKGs, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.
• Saves doctors' time by helping with office procedures.
• Assist in injury care
• Perform phlebotomy service and give injections.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
• Updating and filing medical records according to State and Federal laws.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent


• High school diploma or equivalent


• 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required

Physical Demands:

Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines, and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, climb stairs, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
