Job summary

Centurion Spine and Pain Centers in Pooler, GA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy office on a full-time basis. You will prepare patients, review charts, assist with documentation, and support a seamless patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or CMA preferred, can measure vital signs, manage medical terminology, and communicate effectively with colleagues and physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience as medical assistant, CMA preferred; in lieu of experience, accredited MA program graduate accepted.
• Able to measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
• Basic computer knowledge; strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task efficiently in busy or stressful situations.
• Able to read, analyze, interpret, and write medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient interactions in the clinical setting.

• Generate forms for patient education, consent, documentation of care, referrals, prescriptions, and other documents.
• Obtain medical records, lab results, and other information as indicated.
• Inspect the care environment to ensure a sanitary, stocked, and functional space.
• Ensure medications, supplies, and personnel are available for scheduled interactions.
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Billing, and internal departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Communicate with physicians, PAs, and other care providers.

About the Job:

We are actively seeking high-quality Medical Assistants to join our team at our Pooler GA Office! This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare for patient interactions in the clinical setting.
• Review charts, schedules, medical records, and other sources of documentation.
• Generating appropriate forms for patient education, informed consent, documentation of care, referrals, prescriptions, and other documents to support the provision of and continuity of care.
• Obtaining medical records, lab results, diagnostic study results, and other documents or information as indicated.
• Inspecting the physical care environment to ensure a therapeutic, sanitary environment with fully stocked medical supplies and functional equipment.
• Ensuring that appropriate medications, supplies, equipment, and personnel is available to complete scheduled interactions.
• Communicating with internal and external resources to procure necessary supplies and/or information.
• Collaborating with Scheduling, Billing, and other internal departments and personnel to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Communicating with physicians, physicians' assistants, and other care providers.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• One or more years of experience as a medical assistant, CMA preferred. In lieu of experience, graduating from an accredited MA program is acceptable.
• Able to measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
• Basic computer knowledge required. Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task efficiently and effectively in busy and/or stressful situations.
