Job summary

Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dermatology practice. You will prep exam rooms, assist with procedures, collect patient information, histories, and educate patients on treatment plans, while upholding core values and maintaining clinical efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate patient intake, including history and chief complaints, with integrity and attention to detail.
• Properly document exams in the EMR system to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Follow all medical regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and ethical standards in patient care and documentation.
• Assist with medical procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying allergy test patches, always prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
• Complete prior authorizations and medication requests efficiently to support timely treatment.
• Schedule follow-up appointments with care and diligence, ensuring patients receive necessary ongoing treatment.
• Respond to patient messages within 24 hours to maintain a high standard of accessibility and responsiveness.
• Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, whether troubleshooting EMR issues, assisting with complex procedures, or handling difficult patient interactions.
• Take initiative in completing start-of-day and end-of-day tasks, ensuring a smooth clinical operation.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and responsibilities with resilience and a focus on learning.
• Other duties as assigned – always embracing new challenges with a mindset of growth and service.
