The University of Kansas Health System in the Kansas City area is seeking a Medical Assistant at Indian Creek Medical Plaza 3 to help ensure smooth patient flow, prepare patients for visits, perform limited procedures, and coordinate with the health care team.
Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program graduate or CCMA/NCRMA certification, strong customer service, and reliable clerical skills; BLS certification preferred; the role is full-time with benefits and opportunities to grow.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of patients through the health care setting by facilitating examination and treatment of patients in a culturally sensitive manner with exceptional customer service; contributes to patient care by preparing patient for visit, performing limited procedures, scheduling diagnostic test or consults, maintaining patient records, organizing clinic/exam rooms, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, and/or assisting physicians, other medical staff, nurses, other interdisciplinary team members and support staff.
